In partnership with Studio Samuel, we're proud to introduce Yewer Abeba (Monthly Flower) – a mobile app designed by girls, for girls, to transform how young women understand and manage their menstrual health.

Why This Matters

50% of schoolgirls in Ethiopia miss between one and four days of school every month due to their monthly menstruation, while 67% of girls have no access to education on puberty and menstrual health. This isn't just about periods – it's about education, opportunity, and equality.

From rural areas where water access is limited, to urban environments where facilities may be available but education is not — Yewer Abeba bridges the gap between knowledge and access, while honoring and integrating cultural wisdom.
